Dining Room Friday, June 23rd 2017.
The dining area doesn’t need to be a separate room. A corner space can be enough if you can make it look beautiful. Sandra Benhamou gave this one a round table with a mirrored top, a tiled floor, a set of minimalist chairs and some framed wall art displayed on a slim shelf. Sometimes the color does all the hard work. So pick a shade and go with it. Yellow is a bright and cheerful tone so you can use it if you want to lighten up the décor in the dining area.
When everything else in the dining room is simple and neutral, with no particularities designed to make the decor stand out, you can add some character to the room through wall art or potted plants. This is a way of introducing a new color palette to the space as well as some texture and pattern. It’s possible to play with styles by mixing and matching contrasting elements. Notice the way in which the traditional wooden chairs dialogue with the chic pendant lamp displayed above the table and the playful picture displayed on the wall. This is an interior by Anna Carin Design. Apart from the different in style influences, the decor also features contrasts of color.
We really love the way this chandelier is reflected into the dining table’s glossy top. The fact the rest of the furniture doesn’t share the same finish, color and characteristics is refreshing. In addition, the chairs are a really nice match. Consider choosing different colors for your dining room chairs. Standard Studio used here four chairs with identical designs, each featuring a different color, ranging from khaki green to light brown. They look great in this context.
