Fitzsimmons Architects is a firm which was asked to create a relaxing personal office for a young entrepreneurial executive with an upstart company, which could also serve as a small retreat to relax with family and was located in the under-utilized attic storage space of an existing office lease space, in Oklahoma City. They had to transform a long, narrow and low space into a dynamic area with long lines, subtle curves, floating and distorted planes. This space was intended to reflect the client’s personality and preferences: vivid colors, clean lines, sports, auto racing and display of a growing collection of art. There were used modern pieces of furniture which combined grey and green nuances and a soft lighting which were meant to create a relaxing and comfortable place.
They include elements such as pendant lights, table lamps, chairs and wall decorations. Another option would be to focus more on the type of materials you use when decorating the office. For example, try to incorporate metal in the décor and to also use wood in good amounts. As for the finishes, they often have a rough look and this gives character to the room. So make sure you pay attention to all the details and that you create a harmonious décor. You don’t want the room to feel cold and uninviting but you want it to feel unique and imposing in a simple and functional way. By using such simple materials and finishes, your home office will gain a more professional look which suits this room very well. The décor also has to be space-efficient and to feature plenty of storage space. A beautiful home office is one that’s clean, organized and with an inviting yet sober décor and atmosphere.
Many of us love those long breaks at work when we try to freshen up ourselves a little bit and relax for a few moments. Those who made of their home a working place too are even luckier. Nothing compares with a few free moments that you can spend with your family too. You will definitely come back to your office with a different mood and another attitude .Perhaps it is even more relaxing for those who work from home but I am not for this variant. Although it implies more rest and relaxation the team work and that specific working environment which is very dynamic can challenge you more and can make you forget about your home routine or even family problems if it is the case.
